If the school raises recognition, use the reply titled 'If they ask for recognition criteria'.
From: Cyrille Minso · Subject: A fifth-Palme review for consideration
Attach: nothing. Offer the criteria; do not invent current deadlines, selection or committee decisions.
Answer any specific question first, then use the matching reply below. These are replies to engagement, not additional unsolicited opening emails. Use the name of the person who actually replied and retain the existing contact route.
Owner: Cyrille Minso. Free examples: approved, with no conditions.
Upgrade outlook: 80-100%, corporate estimate for this school. He wrote: "regarding the preselection, it is more a % of chance to be upgraded".
Does payment determine the level? The level of Palmes is determined independently by the International Scientific Committee based on academic and international recognition criteria; the membership fee is simply calculated afterwards according to the level of Palmes awarded.
Eduniversal's licensing price list, sent by Cyrille on October 5, 2026: For a school holding 4 Palmes, Silver is EUR 5,990 per year and Gold is EUR 9,990 per year, excluding taxes, over a three-year license. Platinum is EUR 9,990 per year plus a program promotion pack. All three tiers include the certification widget. Platinum promotion packs: up to 5 programs EUR 13,345; up to 10 EUR 23,290; unlimited EUR 59,800. The pack billing period is not specified; use the formal quotation for that detail.
NYMM's guidance to sellers, membership plan: share only exceptionally, when really required. Do not attach it to routine first messages or free-example notes.
NYMM's guidance to sellers, recognition conversation: If the school raises recognition, use the reply titled 'If they ask for recognition criteria', with the fee and independent decision stated clearly. Keep the recognition text in reserve. Do not describe the school as formally preselected on the basis of this estimate. Keep the estimate in seller guidance; do not present it as an awarded or guaranteed level. The prepared recognition text states a one-time EUR 2,990 priority evaluation fee, separately from membership. That fee is not listed in the licensing price list supplied here.
Telfer is on your priority list at 4 Palmes. That level comes from your own list, not from the school's pages. No earlier contact with the school is on your records, and Cyrille Minso is its owner at Eduniversal. The dean on your list, Stéphane Brutus, is still in the post: the school's directory names him as Dean of the Telfer School of Management, and he has been dean since March 9, 2021. We found no mention of an interim, departing or incoming dean on the school's leadership pages collected on September 17, 2026.
The existing accreditations do not establish whether recognition will interest the faculty. The school states that it is one of only two business schools in Canada to have achieved the triple crown of accreditations (AACSB 2003, AMBA 2005, EQUIS 2009). In a news item of April 23, 2025, it reported that CEO Magazine had ranked its Executive MBA first globally, for the fifth time. The first email with the free AI examples draws on the school's own published claims. The dean's message on the school's 2026-2028 Strategic Plan page says: “We intend to let the world know that Telfer has truly arrived as one of the preeminent business schools in Canada”. One of the plan's stated priorities is to preserve and, in some programs, grow enrollment by focusing on recruitment and retention.
Two things shape the approach. First, the University of Ottawa is publicly funded and publishes its purchasing rules. Those rules say consultants must be engaged through a competitive process whatever the contract's value. We did not find, in the rules collected on September 17, 2026, whether an evaluation by a rating body counts as consulting. Our reading: if a purchase is ever discussed, that answer sets the route. Second, the school publishes that its MBA is offered in English or French. It publishes the Executive MBA, the Master of Health Administration and the Master of Science in Management with classes in English only. The examples on this page come from questions asked in English. We hold no answers to questions asked in French.
Nothing on this page promises a yes. It takes out the ways an approach to this school can fail.
No contact with him is on your records. Write to him directly, and to no one else at the school. If he replies and names a colleague, add that person then. Our judgment: who else at the school sees the message is his choice. We found nothing published on how the school handles an approach like this one.
Our reading, not a published rule: as dean, the decision would be his. He is the same person as on your list. We found no published rule on who approves a purchase of this kind. We found no mention of the length of his term, a renewal or an end date in the pages collected on September 17, 2026.
We did not find which budget would pay for a purchase like this. A supplier must register before providing anything or issuing an invoice, and the link and instructions come from the supplier's uOttawa contact person. We did not find, in the published rules, whether an evaluation counts as consulting. Our reading: that answer sets the route. A yes from the dean is not yet an order.

Subject: What AI assistants answer about Telfer
When: once the sender checks are complete. The short note is built and is opened from item 3. Send only once it has been checked. Preferred: by October 23. If the sender checks are not complete by October 23, send from November 2. A free-example message sent after October 18, 2026 needs the questions asked again first. Send nothing on the dates marked Avoid in the dates table.
Signature: Cyrille Minso, followed by the normal Eduniversal business signature.
When: ten working days after the free-example message. The dates marked Avoid in the dates table do not count, and nothing is sent on them: October 25 to 31, November 16 to 20, December 10 to January 4, 2027, February 14 to 20, 2027, March 26 to 29, 2027, and April 16 to 29, 2027.
After this: If there is no reply to the follow-up, stop. Do not write to anyone else at the school.
4. One page for the dean. Only after the first conversation, and only if the contact agrees. Never with the free-example message or the follow-up.Prepared · sender checksOpen
Before sending: check each sentence against the three examples above. The page describes the examples already sent. It does not propose anything further.

| Stéphane BrutusDean of the Telfer School of Management, since March 9, 2021 | Our reading: the decision would be his. The free-example message is addressed to him. | Our reading of his published statements: he consults, takes his time, and wants reasons he can explain. See 'How the dean decides' above. The Fulcrum's interview of May 11, 2026 notes that his degrees and postdoctoral work were all in psychology. He came to Telfer after a 23-year career at Concordia University, most recently at its John Molson School of Business. We found no mention of the length of his term, a renewal or an end date. | No contact on record |
| Maria ScopellitiAssociate Director, Communications and Marketing | Not on the free-example message. Her title covers communications and marketing. | Her directory page says she “formulates the Telfer School of Management’s long-term business plan by framing clear strategic choices, soliciting the perspectives of stakeholders, driving to alignment, and articulating a comprehensive corporate business strategy”. A question to be ready for from her, if the dean brings her in: does this contradict anything we already say about ourselves? | No contact on record |
| Mélanie BoisvertRecruitment and Admissions, Team Lead | Not on the free-example message. Her published role is to promote the graduate programs. | Her directory page says she “promotes the Telfer School of Management’s graduate programs by ensuring that the best candidates are recruited and admitted”. Our judgment: she has the most practical use for the examples. A question to be ready for from her, if the dean brings her in: which of these questions do our applicants actually ask? | No contact on record |
| Greg RichardsVice-Dean, Graduate Professional Programs. Also listed as Vice-Dean (Graduate Programs) and as Interim Director, EMBA Program | Not yet involved. | He is quoted, alongside the dean, in the school's April 23, 2025 news item on the CEO Magazine ranking. He is not part of the first exchange. | No contact on record |
| Not identifiedHead of accreditation or quality assurance | Not identified. | We found no one named in this role in the pages collected on September 17, 2026. Once the examples are sent, ask who at the school would use this. | Not identified |

Introductions. No one in your network has yet been matched to Dean Brutus. Your own records show several past wins that came through a personal introduction. Share the deans of your member schools, and each will be checked against his studies, his career, his boards and his co-authors. So far we hold only what he has published about his background: his studies at Simon Fraser University and Bowling Green State University, his postdoctoral work at the Center for Creative Leadership, and his career at Concordia University, where he was at the John Molson School of Business. His boards and co-authors are not in the pages collected on September 17, 2026. Any match appears on this map. Keep members of your committee out of the sales conversation.

The dean, or someone he passes the message to, asks for the examples
Treat a reply from anyone at the school as a reply. We found nothing published on how quickly the school answers an approach like this, so this page gives no reply time. If there is no reply, send the follow-up once, after ten working days. If there is no reply to the follow-up, stop. Do not write to anyone else at the school. The one page (item 4) is for after a first conversation, and only if the contact agrees.
You send the three examples to the person who asked
And to anyone the dean names. Each with its question as asked. Use the examples reply above, including an optional call invitation. Deliver the note regardless of whether they accept a call. Do not send rating criteria with them.
A short exchange on what it shows
One request per message. After a reply, ask one thing: who at the school would use this. Do not make budget, purchasing or supplier registration a condition of receiving the free examples. Those come up after the school agrees to discuss a separate paid service. If the school says we have misread its published pages anywhere in the examples, we correct our comparison. We report what the assistants answered without altering it, with the date.
No price unless the school asks
The examples are free, and they come with no conditions. Any later conversation about a paid service is a separate matter, opened using the confirmed terms below. See 'What we need from you' below.
If the school asks about an evaluation: the university's purchasing rules
The university's published procedure says consultants must be engaged through a competitive process whatever the contract's value, and that sole-sourcing a consultant needs the President's approval. The same procedure lists the quotes required by amount: one under $10,000, two from $10,000 to under $50,000, three from $50,000 to under $100,000, and an open tender, done by Procurement Services, at $100,000 and above. The university posts public tenders worth $100,000 or more on the Merx website. In exceptional circumstances, such as a monopoly, Procurement Services may authorize a purchase without competition. That exception is requested in advance in Workday, as a requisition of the type the university calls a derogation, with supporting documents. The amounts are in dollars, as the university gives them. We did not find, in the rules collected on September 17, 2026, whether a one-time evaluation counts as consulting, or which office decides that. Our judgment: the school is better placed than an outside supplier to put the question to its Procurement Services. Any later conversation about a paid service is a separate matter, opened using the confirmed terms below.
If the school asks about an evaluation: its budget calendar
The university publishes that units enter their budgets in February and March, that budget forecasts are reviewed on September 30 and January 31, and that the Board of Governors approves the final budget in May. Its budget guide also provides for budget amendments during the year. These are the university's dates. We did not find budget planning months for Telfer alone. If the school itself asks what comes next, ask your contact at the school when the school's own requests are set. Which year's budget a purchase would fall in is the school's to say.
If the school asks about an evaluation: supplier registration at the University of Ottawa
Before providing anything or issuing an invoice, a supplier must complete a registration on the university's Workday Strategic Sourcing website. The university says suppliers can obtain the link and instructions from their uOttawa contact person. Our reading: registration starts with a contact inside the university. After substantive engagement, use the permission question below; proceed with written information if the school agrees. The university publishes a supplier registration guide. We did not collect what the form asks for.
Order form and invoice
No fee has been quoted to this school, and no order or date for one can be promised. The steps above take out the ways an approach fails. They do not promise a yes. On fees, on what a fee buys and on whether paying affects an outcome: Use the direct commercial answer on this page: the prepared recognition text states EUR 2,990 once for evaluation, membership is optional and separately priced in the licensing price list, and Cyrille confirms that the committee determines the Palme level independently. Request written scope or terms only for details not supplied here.
Good and Avoid are our advice, not the school's. These are University of Ottawa dates. The university says dates may vary for certain programs, including the MBA and the Master of Health Administration. Confirm teaching dates with the school.
| Dates | Why | |
|---|---|---|
| Now to October 23 | Good | Classes are in session (fall course dates are September 9 to December 9). Our judgment: the best window for the free-example message. A free-example message sent after October 18, 2026 needs the questions asked again first. |
| October 25 to 31 | Avoid | Reading week. No classes at Telfer. |
| November 2 to 13 | Good | Ordinary class days. The free-example message goes from November 2 if the sender checks are not complete by October 23. A free-example message sent after October 18, 2026 needs the questions asked again first. Also the follow-up, when its date falls here, and any exchange on what the examples show. |
| November 16 to 20 | Avoid | Your convention in Biarritz, on your own calendar. Ordinary class days at Telfer. Our advice: start nothing with the school that week, and answer if the school writes. Do not raise the convention with the school. Any invitation is sent by Eduniversal separately, using the confirmed terms below. |
| November 23 to December 9 | Good | Ordinary class days. Answer anything the school sends. Fall courses end on December 9, so open nothing new after that date. |
| December 10 to January 4, 2027 | Avoid | Exam period December 10 to 22, then the holiday break from 5 p.m. on December 22 to 8:45 a.m. on January 4. |
| January 11 to 29, 2027 | Good | Winter courses start on January 11. Ordinary class days. |
| February 14 to 20, 2027 | Avoid | Reading week. |
| March 26 to 29, 2027 | Avoid | Easter break. |
| April 16 to 29, 2027 | Avoid | Exam period. |
| May 3 to June 11, 2027 | After the winter exam period, which ends on April 29. We did not collect the spring and summer term dates, so confirm them with the school. Our judgment: a workable window for any conversation the school has asked for. | |
| May 1 to April 30 | The university's fiscal year, shown for reference. It is not a window. Our reading of the university's budget guide: budgets are approved on May 1 and the fiscal year ends after April 30. The guide does not state the fiscal year in a single sentence. These are the university's dates, not the school's own. |

| The signer's title and contact details | The free-example message goes to a dean with whom you have no contact on record, and it says who is writing. The title and contact details go below the signature before it is sent. |
| Your evaluation criteria and who applies them, as you publish them or in writing | A question to be ready for from the vice-dean if the school asks about an evaluation. Sellers should answer only from your own text. |
| Confirmation of two items taken from your own records: Telfer's level today (4 Palmes on your priority list) and the convention dates (Biarritz, November 16 to 20, 2026, from your April 2026 invitation) | Neither can be checked against the school's public pages. Both are yours to confirm before the page is used. Sellers do not mention the convention to the school. |
| Whether a dean may be invited to your convention, and who sends the invitation | Sellers do not invite. Any invitation is yours to send, separately, using the confirmed terms below. |
| Your comparison set for Canada, and Telfer's Deans' Vote result against it | We found no rival school named in the Telfer pages collected on September 17, 2026. Any comparison shown to this dean has to come from your data. |
