Not a first email for this school. Not sent as an opening for this school. If the school raises recognition, use the reply titled 'If they ask for recognition criteria'.
Attach: nothing. Offer the criteria; do not invent current deadlines, selection or committee decisions.
Answer any specific question first, then use the matching reply below. These are replies to engagement, not additional unsolicited opening emails. Use the name of the person who actually replied and retain the existing contact route.
Owner: Cyrille Minso. Free examples: approved, with no conditions.
Upgrade outlook: 20%, corporate estimate for this school. He described the figures as chances of being upgraded.
Does payment determine the level? The level of Palmes is determined independently by the International Scientific Committee based on academic and international recognition criteria; the membership fee is simply calculated afterwards according to the level of Palmes awarded.
Eduniversal's licensing price list, sent by Cyrille on October 5, 2026: For a school holding 4 Palmes, Silver is EUR 5,990 per year and Gold is EUR 9,990 per year, excluding taxes, over a three-year license. Platinum is EUR 9,990 per year plus a program promotion pack. All three tiers include the certification widget. Platinum promotion packs: up to 5 programs EUR 13,345; up to 10 EUR 23,290; unlimited EUR 59,800. The pack billing period is not specified; use the formal quotation for that detail.
NYMM's guidance to sellers, membership plan: share only exceptionally, when really required. Do not attach it to routine first messages or free-example notes.
NYMM's guidance to sellers, recognition conversation: If the school raises recognition, use the reply titled 'If they ask for recognition criteria'. Do not send recognition text as an opening. Do not describe the school as formally preselected on the basis of this estimate. Keep the estimate in seller guidance; do not present it as an awarded or guaranteed level. The prepared recognition text states a one-time EUR 2,990 priority evaluation fee, separately from membership. That fee is not listed in the licensing price list supplied here.
This is a first contact. No earlier contact with this school is on file, and we found no mention of Eduniversal or the Palmes in the school pages collected on September 17, 2026. The school's own pages say that it is in the top 10 percent of business schools worldwide and that it is AACSB accredited. So do not assume they know Eduniversal or the Palmes: in our judgment, a first message that takes that for granted is likely to be read as an uninvited sales approach.
Two things shape the approach. Your list names Prof. Eric Johnson as dean. The public record shows M. Eric Johnson as the previous dean, his term ended at the end of June 2023, and Thomas J. Steenburgh has been dean since July 1, 2023. And the first message offers one thing: two dated examples of what AI assistants answered to questions a prospective student might ask, free, with no price and no conditions. It says who is writing in its first lines. It speaks to the six areas the school has chosen to focus on.
The examples are free, so they are not a purchase. Do not raise supplier registration, purchasing or budget with the school. One thing has to be settled first, though: Vanderbilt's published supplier procedure directs supplier “email solicitations” to its online application before any business discussions, and it does not say whether an unsolicited free note counts. Whether to register before the first message is Eduniversal's decision. It is listed in “What we need from you”, and the first message waits for it.
None of this promises a yes. It takes out ways a first approach can fail.
Write to the dean. In our judgment a reply may come from another office. If it does, answer whoever replies.
In our judgment, the person whose yes matters. No contact on file. Dean since July 1, 2023, not interim, and we found no announcement of a successor. Who approves a purchase at Owen, and who holds its budget, is not published.
Owen is a school of Vanderbilt University. Which office would approve or pay an invoice for Owen is not published. The examples are free, so nothing is paid for them. This card matters after the school agrees to discuss a separate paid service.
Subject: What AI assistants answer about Vanderbilt Business
When: only once the sender checks are complete, with the short note attached. October 9 is our planning date, not a school deadline. If the sender checks are not complete by October 9, send from October 21. October 21 is more than two weeks after the questions were asked, so the questions must be asked again first. Never send without the short note.
When: once, after ten working days without a reply, and not on the dates marked Avoid below: October 12 to 20, November 20 to 29, December 17 to January 10, 2027, January 18, 2027, March 1 to 14, 2027, May 3 to 6, 2027, and May 14, 2027. If the tenth working day falls on one of those dates, wait until they have passed. Ten working days is our advice, not a published reply time.
After this: If there is no reply to the follow-up, stop. Do not write to anyone else at the school.

Before sending: the questions named must be the questions in the short note already sent. The page describes the examples already sent. It does not propose more.
| Person | Part in the decision | What to know | Contact so far |
|---|---|---|---|
| Thomas J. SteenburghRalph Owen Dean and Professor of Marketing, since July 1, 2023 | In our judgment, the person whose yes matters. Who approves a purchase is not published. | Eighth dean of Owen. He came from the University of Virginia's Darden School of Business, where he was a senior associate dean. In July 2023 he put people first and spoke of business areas the school can own in Nashville. We found no statement by him on rankings in what we collected. | No contact on file |
| Maria MisbachChief Marketing and Communications Officer | Not yet involved. Not copied. | The only marketing lead we found named in the pages collected on September 17, 2026. Her title appears on one school page, an orientation schedule. Nothing in those pages shows that she handles rankings or external ratings, so she is not copied on the first message. If the dean passes the note to her office, answer whoever replies, and send the question list promptly if it is asked for. | No contact on file |
| Jennifer EscalasSenior Associate Dean of Academic Programs, Professor of Marketing | Not yet involved. | Her published CV lists “Senior Associate Dean of Academic Programs, 2025-present” and “Associate Dean of Academic Programs, 2022-2025”. A professor of marketing, like the dean. We found no named accreditation or quality officer for Owen in the pages collected on September 17, 2026. In our judgment hers is the office to ask about program facts, if the school raises them. | No contact on file |
| Owen budget holderName and title not found | Not known. | We found no finance or business officer named in the school pages collected on September 17, 2026. Do not ask who holds the budget. It matters after the school agrees to discuss a separate paid service. | Not found |
| Head of recruitment and admissionsName not found | Not yet involved. | The school's staff page lists a Recruiting and Admissions Team; no names were shown when the page was collected. In our judgment recruitment has a practical use for the examples, but that is for the school to say. Ask one thing: who at the school would use this. | Not found |
| M. Eric JohnsonPrevious dean. Your list names him as dean, as Prof. Eric Johnson | None today. | The university's news office wrote in October 2023 that he “led the school through a decade of momentum and growth”. His term ended at the end of June 2023. Do not address the first message to him. | On your list |

Introductions. No one in your network has yet been matched to Dean Steenburgh, and no contact with the school is on file, so every line on this map is dashed. In your own closed cases, several wins came through a personal introduction. Share the deans of your member schools, and each will be checked against what is published about his career. Two places to start: the University of Virginia's Darden School of Business, where he was a senior associate dean, and Yale, where he says he did his PhD. Any match appears on this map. Keep members of your committee out of the sales conversation.
The dean, or someone he passes the note to, replies
No earlier contact with this school is on file, so there may be no reply at all. If one comes, it may come from another office and not from the dean. Answer whoever replies. If the reply points to the university's supplier registration, do not register on your own initiative. Stop and tell Eduniversal.
A short call on what the examples show
Offer a brief call after an interested reply, using the wording above. If accepted, bring the question list and the date the questions were asked, October 4, 2026. Ask one thing: who at the school would use this. Do not make budget, purchasing or supplier registration a condition of receiving the free examples.
One page, after the first conversation
Only after the first conversation, and only if the contact agrees. Never with the first message or the follow-up. The one-page brief describes the examples already sent and asks one question: who at the school should be the contact for this. It does not propose more.
If the school asks for more
If the dean asks for the same questions for a particular market, or for a repeat, do not promise it. Tell Eduniversal. Do not offer work that would change what the assistants answer. One thing is different and is not a service: if we have misread the school's published pages anywhere in the examples, we correct our comparison. We report what the assistants answered without altering it, with the date.
After the school agrees to discuss a separate paid service
If the school asks about a paid service, answer using the confirmed terms on this page; obtain any missing detail before quoting it. Any later conversation about a paid service is a separate matter, opened using the confirmed terms below. See “What we need from you” below.
Vanderbilt's supplier procedure is wider than paid services. It states: “Supplier phone calls, email solicitations and personal sales calls will be directed to the online application process before any business discussions will take place.” It also states that “Purchasing Services has established a Supplier Self-Registration portal” and that “All applications will be responded to within 5 business days of receipt.” The examples are free, so they are not a purchase, and the seller does not raise supplier registration, purchasing or budget with the school. The published procedure does not say whether an unsolicited free note counts as a solicitation. Whether Eduniversal registers before the first message is Eduniversal's decision, and the first message waits for that decision.
Order form and invoice
Only if the school itself decides to buy. Vanderbilt University's fiscal year ends on June 30. That is the university's year. Owen's own budget cycle is not published. At that stage, and not before, ask your contact when the school's own requests are set. Vanderbilt says of its contracts, proposals and related documents: “All such materials are considered confidential.” Our advice: do not name it as a client without its permission.
| Dates | Why | |
|---|---|---|
| Now to October 9 | Good | Module One is in session and exams have not started. October 9 is our planning date, not a school deadline. The first message goes only once the sender checks are complete. |
| October 12 to 20 | Avoid | Module One exams from October 12 to 15, then Fall Immersion from October 16 to 20. |
| October 21 to November 19 | Good | Module Two begins on October 21. If the sender checks are not complete by October 9, send the first message from October 21. October 21 is more than two weeks after the questions were asked, so the questions must be asked again first. Never send without the short note. Also good for the follow-up. Your calendar gives your convention in Biarritz as November 16 to 20. On Owen's calendar November 16 to 19 fall within Module Two. Do not mention the convention in the first message or the follow-up. |
| November 20 to 29 | Avoid | Thanksgiving Break. |
| November 30 to December 16 | Good | Module Two is in session until exams begin. |
| December 17 to January 10, 2027 | Avoid | Module Two exams from December 17 to 19, then Winter Break from December 20 to January 10. |
| January 11 to 17, 2027 | Good | Module Three begins on January 11. |
| January 18, 2027 | Avoid | MLK Holiday. No classes. |
| January 19 to February 28, 2027 | Good | Module Three is in session. |
| March 1 to 14, 2027 | Avoid | Module Three exams from March 1 to 4, then Spring Immersion and Spring Break from March 5 to 14. Owen's break is one week earlier than the rest of Vanderbilt, so use Owen's calendar. |
| March 15 to May 2, 2027 | Good | Module Four begins on March 15. |
| May 3 to 6, 2027 | Avoid | Module Four exams. |
| May 14, 2027 | Avoid | Commencement. The calendar gives the date only. How long the dean is occupied around it is not published. |
| July 1 to June 30 | Vanderbilt University's fiscal year. That is the university's year, not Owen's own budget cycle, which is not published. We did not find the months in which the budget is planned. Do not raise it. It matters after the school agrees to discuss a separate paid service. | |
| Where the dates come from | Owen's 2026-2027 academic calendar, marked “Last Updated: February 1, 2026”. It notes that calendar dates are subject to change. |
| Item | Why it matters here |
|---|---|
| The signer's title and contact details | The signature needs them. |
| Your contact entry for this school, corrected | Your list names Prof. Eric Johnson as dean. The public record shows Thomas J. Steenburgh as dean since July 1, 2023. Nothing goes out until the entry is right. |
| Confirmation of two items taken from your own records: Owen's level today (4 Palmes on your priority list) and the convention dates (Biarritz, November 16 to 20, 2026) | Neither can be checked against the school's public pages. Both are yours to confirm before the page is used. |
| Any earlier contact with this school by anyone at Eduniversal | None is on file, and this page is written as a first contact. If someone has already written or spoken to the school, tell us, because the first message changes. |
| Whether Eduniversal registers as a Vanderbilt supplier before the first message | Vanderbilt's published procedure directs supplier “email solicitations” to its online application before any business discussions. It does not say whether an unsolicited free note counts. The decision is yours, and the first message waits for it. |
| How your scientific committee comes to consider a school, and whether it has considered Owen | We do not know your process. If the school raises recognition, use the reply titled “If they ask for recognition criteria”. Volunteer nothing else about recognition. |
| Whether taking part in your Deans' Vote costs a school anything | We do not know. Until you confirm, sellers do not mention it to this school. |
| What you want done if the school asks for a repeat, or for the same questions for a particular market | Neither is offered on this page. Sellers are told not to promise either and to tell you. |
